1952 The Beaver T-shirt (Adult)

  • $36.00

In 1952 Queen Elizabeth II became Queen of Canada upon the death of her father King George VI, and the first CBC Television station, CBFT, went on the air in Montreal, Quebec.

As drastic changes were required to keep up with the modernizing world in the post war era, in 1947 Canadian Pacific set about retiring its aging steam locomotives in favor of the vastly superior, more powerful diesel engines.  Two years later, Canadian Pacific purchased thirteen Baldwin diesel-electric locomotives from the Canadian Locomotive Company which imported and produced the designs from Baldwin Locomotive Works.  The process took some time though and it wasn’t until 1960 that all the steam engines had been retired.

All 'heather' colors are a 50/50 Cotton/Polyester blend.  All solid colors are 100% ringspun cotton.  Both hold the image extremely well as the inks stretch with the fabric and will not peel like silk screening.
