The last spike of the transcontinental railway line (built by the Canadian Pacific Railway) was driven on Nov 7, 1885 following which a variety of models of trains and locomotives were used to transport adventurous passengers across Canada’s vast frontiers.

One of the most recognizable steam engines was the great Selkirk locomotive that was specifically built for the CPR by the Montreal Locomotive Works in Montreal, Canada.  Canadian Pacific took delivery of the first of these locomotives in July, 1929 and continued to take delivery of 35 more of this model throughout the 1930’s and 1940’s.

All 'heather' colors are a 50/50 Cotton/Polyester blend.  All solid colors are 100% ringspun cotton.  Both hold the image extremely well as the inks stretch with the fabric and will not peel like silk screening.
